My Mission
"Crafting Memorable Moments"

Brian the Purple Chef, founded by Brian Hollander, is dedicated to creating unforgettable dining experiences with a unique blend of classic comfort food and modern techniques. With over twenty years in the food and catering industry, my mission is to bring people together through the magic of food, ensuring every meal is a celebration.
The Purple Chef is a mission-driven, for-profit culinary business—not a nonprofit program. Its social mission is embedded in its commercial business model: providing paid, competitive employment and career development for people with disabilities and people facing barriers to employment while generating revenue through cooking classes, meal preparation and culinary services.
Social Impact & Ethical Procurement Policy
The Purple Chef strives to support businesses whose practices reflect our mission of building community, dignity, and second chances. Whenever reasonably possible, we choose suppliers and partners that are not materially engaged in profiting from incarceration or other carceral institutions. We recognize that supply chains can be complex, so we commit to making thoughtful, good-faith purchasing decisions and revisiting them as better information becomes available.
